Overview

Mobile App is where you review, edit, and approve everything that goes into your app's Apple App Store and Google Play listing, plus the welcome screen customers see when they open the app logged out. It shows the store screenshots, store graphics, and store text so you can review the listing without opening either store.

The page is laid out as five tabs - App welcome, Store graphics, Screenshots, Google Play, and Apple App Store - each one an item you approve separately. Each tab title carries a status badge: a green tick when that item is approved, an orange mark when it still needs your review.

The screenshots, graphics and text are generated for your store by Kiva Logic. You can edit the app welcome tagline, the screenshot captions, the store text, and the store graphics here, and approve each part for submission; the listing is then rebuilt from that approved copy. Once all five items are approved, Kiva Logic is notified automatically so the listing can be submitted to both stores.

What the Page Shows

Content status

Directly under the page title is a status banner. It reads NOT SUBMITTED in red until every part of the listing has been approved, and APPROVED, ready for Kiva to submit in green once all five approvals are in place. It lists the five things that are approved independently:

  1. App welcome - the tagline and welcome-screen preview
  2. Store graphics - the app icon and Google Play feature graphic, approved together
  3. Screenshots & captions - one approval, shared by both stores, because the same phone screenshots go to Google Play and the Apple App Store
  4. Google Play store text
  5. Apple App Store text

Each item shows either a tick with the date and time it was approved, or needs your approval. Saving a change to a captions, store text, the tagline, or a graphic re-opens that one item for review; the others are left alone.

App welcome (tab)

The first tab holds the App welcome tagline - the short line shown on the mobile app welcome screen, under your logo. It is an editable text box (up to 255 characters) with an AI button that can regenerate the line from your site. Save changes stores the wording and re-opens the item for review; Approve for submission saves it and stamps the approval.

Below the editor is a Preview: two phone mock-ups of your app's opening screens, the Welcome screen and the Sign in screen. Both are built from your store's own collage of product photos, with your logo, the tagline you entered, and your primary button colour below a soft fade.

The preview is a preview only. The live app uses the same background, so what you see here is what customers get.

If no welcome background has been set, the section shows a warning - "No welcome background set. The app shows a plain sign-in screen until one is generated" - and the phone mock-ups are hidden.

Store graphics (tab)

  • App icon - the square icon used by both stores. Ideal size 1024 x 1024 px, square PNG.
  • Feature graphic (Google Play) - the wide banner Google Play shows at the top of your listing. Ideal size 1024 x 500 px, PNG or JPG.

The two graphics are approved together. Each is auto-generated from your branding and labelled Auto-generated. You can upload a custom image in its place (PNG, JPG, or WEBP), which is labelled Custom upload and is used on the next rebuild, or click Delete custom to go back to the auto-generated version. A graphic that has not been built yet shows Not generated yet instead of an image. Uploading or removing a graphic re-opens this item for review; when it looks right, click Approve for submission.

Screenshots (tab)

  • Phone screenshots & captions - the six Google Play phone screenshots, each shown next to the headline caption printed on it. These same shots go to both stores.
  • iPhone & iPad screenshots - the Apple App Store screenshots, hidden behind a Show button because they repeat the phone set at other sizes and are not always needed.

Screenshot captions

The caption printed on each phone screenshot is editable. The page shows all six in a grid, each with its screenshot above a text box holding that screen's current wording.

Both Save and Approve are available: Save changes stores the wording and re-opens the screenshots for review, and Approve for submission saves it and stamps the approval. A new caption is baked into the actual screenshot on the next rebuild, so the image above the box still shows the previous wording until then.

Two placeholder tokens are filled in for you before the text reaches the box, so you always see and save real wording rather than the raw token:

  • [Location] - your delivery area, for example Tri-Cities, WA
  • [Local Region] - the same delivery area, for captions that read better with a region name

If the delivery area cannot be worked out, the tokens are replaced with neutral wording ("your area" / "local") so a literal [Location] never ends up printed on a screenshot.

Store text (Google Play and Apple App Store tabs)

Each store is its own tab, holding every text field as an editable box with the current wording, so you can review and adjust the copy in place.

Google Play text

Field Character limit
Title 30
Short description 80
Full description 4000
Changelog 500

Apple App Store text

Field Character limit
Name 30
Subtitle 30
Keywords 100
Promotional text 170
Description 4000
Release notes 4000

Next to each field name is a live character count against the limit, for example 24 / 30. It updates as you type and turns red when the text is over the limit, which would be rejected on submission.

Like the captions, each store's block has Save changes (stores the wording and re-opens that store for review) and Approve for submission (saves it and stamps the approval). The two stores are approved separately.

Common Use Cases

Use Case 1: Review Your Store Listing Before Release

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile App
  2. Open the App welcome tab and check the tagline and phone preview
  3. Open the Store graphics tab and check the app icon and feature graphic
  4. Open the Screenshots tab and scroll through the phone and iPhone/iPad screenshots
  5. Open the Google Play and Apple App Store tabs and read the store text blocks
  6. Note any field showing a red length, so it can be trimmed before submission

Use Case 2: Check a Store Text Change

Goal: Confirm the wording Kiva Logic wrote for your listing reads the way you want.

Steps:

  1. Open the page and open the Google Play or Apple App Store tab
  2. Find the field you want to check
  3. Read the text box, which preserves the line breaks of the original
  4. Check the character count next to the field name to confirm the text fits the store's limit
  5. Send any wording changes to Kiva Logic support

Troubleshooting

"No app store listing has been generated"

Symptoms:

  • The page shows a red notice saying no app store listing has been generated for your store

Cause:

  • The screenshots, graphics, and store text have not been generated for your store yet

Solution:

  1. The App welcome tab still works and can be reviewed and approved
  2. Contact Kiva Logic support and ask for your app store listing to be generated; the other tabs fill in once a build runs

An Image Is Missing or Broken

Symptoms:

  • An icon, feature graphic, or screenshot does not appear

Cause:

  • That particular asset was not generated in the last run

Solution:

  1. Note which image is missing
  2. Contact Kiva Logic support to have the listing regenerated

"No welcome background set"

Symptoms:

  • The App welcome tab preview shows a warning instead of the two phone mock-ups

Cause:

  • No welcome collage has been generated for your store, so the app falls back to a plain sign-in screen

Solution:

  1. Contact Kiva Logic support and ask for your app welcome collage to be generated

A Character Count Is Red

Symptoms:

  • A field's character count is red rather than grey

Cause:

  • The text is longer than the store allows for that field

Solution:

  1. Note the field and its limit from the tables above
  2. Shorten the text in the box, or send a shorter version to Kiva Logic support so the listing can be updated

  • App Settings - the app identifiers and push credentials your app is built with; reachable from the App Settings button at the top right of this page
  • Apps - third-party integrations, including the app card

Recent Updates

2026-09-30

  • The page is now named Mobile App in the menu (Settings > Mobile App) and is laid out as five tabs: App welcome, Store graphics, Screenshots, Google Play, and Apple App Store
  • Each tab title carries a status badge - a green tick when that item is approved, an orange mark when it still needs review
  • App Settings moved out of the menu to a subpage button at the top right of this page
  • The App welcome tagline is now edited and approved here, on the App welcome tab (it moved off the AI Business Info page); it has its own AI button and its own approval
  • Store graphics (app icon and Google Play feature graphic) are now their own approvable item, approved together; uploading or removing a graphic re-opens them for review
  • The Content status banner now tracks five approvals instead of three, and embeds each one's approval time in the notification Kiva Logic receives
  • Refreshed the default screenshot captions
  • The generated screenshots, graphics, and store text are now served from Kiva Logic's image service, so they show on your live admin as well as the machine that built them; previously the live admin showed Not generated yet for assets that had already been generated

2026-09-29

  • The page is now open to every business admin, not Kiva Logic admins only; the coming-soon notice is gone and you can review, edit, and approve your own listing here
  • Kiva Logic is emailed automatically once all three parts are approved, so the listing can be submitted to the stores; if you later change something and re-approve it, you are notified again
  • The Kiva Logic note showing the command used to regenerate the assets is now shown to Kiva Logic admins only
  • Screenshot captions and the Google Play and Apple App Store store text are now editable on the page, each with Save changes and Approve for submission
  • Added a Content status banner listing the three independent approvals (screenshots & captions, Google Play text, Apple text); it stays red until all three are approved, and saving a change re-opens just that one item for review
  • The app icon and Google Play feature graphic can now be replaced with a custom uploaded image, or reset back to the auto-generated one
  • [Location] and [Local Region] tokens in the captions are filled in with your delivery area, so the raw token is never saved or printed
  • Store text character counts are now shown live as you type rather than in a fixed Length column

2026-09-24

  • Added the App welcome screen section at the top of the page: two phone mock-ups showing the Welcome and Sign in screens your app opens with, built from your store's welcome collage, logo, tagline, and primary colour
  • Kiva Logic admins can set the welcome background URL from this page; stores without one see a warning that the app opens on a plain sign-in screen
  • Store screenshots now lead with the app welcome screen
  • The preview is now Kiva Logic admin only while it is being finished: business admins see a coming-soon (October 2026) notice in place of the assets and store text

2026-09-22

  • New page: previews your app's Apple App Store and Google Play listing, with the app icon, Google Play feature graphic, phone and iPhone/iPad screenshots, and every store text field with its character count
  • A Kiva Logic note at the top shows the command used to regenerate the assets; it is visible to Kiva Logic admins only
  • Each store's images can only be viewed for your own store
