Conditional Features

Site-Specific Visibility

Some reports only appear based on site configuration:

Launch List & Screenshots: - Only visible if site is not live OR user is Kiva Admin - Used for pre-launch testing and monitoring

Seasons Reports: - Only visible if the site uses the Seasons feature - Includes "Seasons" editor and "Seasons Report"

Troubleshooting

Symptoms: Clicking a report name results in 404 error or blank page

Solutions: 1. Verify your admin account has permission to access that report 2. Check if the report requires specific site features to be enabled 3. Try refreshing the Reports landing page 4. Clear your browser cache

Common Causes: - Report requires higher permission level than your account has - Site configuration doesn't include that feature - Temporary server issue

Missing Expected Report

Symptoms: A report you've used before isn't showing in the category

Check: 1. Verify you're looking in the correct category (some reports could fit multiple categories) 2. Check if site configuration changed (e.g., Seasons disabled) 3. Confirm your admin access level wasn't changed 4. Look in the System category for administrative reports

If Problem Persists: Contact Kiva Logic support — the report may have been moved or renamed.

Category Card Shows Zero Reports

Symptoms: A category card appears but shows "0" reports in the count

Solutions: 1. This usually indicates all reports in that category require features your site doesn't have enabled 2. Check with your account manager about enabling additional features 3. Verify your admin access level

  • Weekly Report (kiv/reports/weekly-report.php) - The most commonly used operational report
  • Admin Menu (kiv/helpers/helper.admin-menu-functions.php) - Source of report categorization
  • Individual Report Pages - Each report link navigates to its respective detailed page

Typical Workflow: 1. Reports Landing Page → Click report name → View detailed report 2. Reports Landing Page → Bookmark frequently used reports → Direct access from bookmarks 3. Top Navigation → Reports → Select category → Access specific report

Best Practices

Report Discovery

  1. Use this page as your primary navigation instead of searching through menus
  2. Bookmark frequently used reports after finding them here the first time
  3. Learn the category structure to find reports faster in the future
  4. Check starred reports first when exploring a new category

Workflow Efficiency

  1. Open the Reports page in a dedicated browser tab and keep it open during your work session
  2. Use browser "Open in New Tab" (right-click or Cmd/Ctrl+click) to keep the Reports page accessible
  3. Organize your favorites/bookmarks by category to mirror this page's structure
  4. Note the count badges to know which categories have the most options

Things to Avoid

  • ❌ Don't rely solely on the top navigation menu — use this centralized page instead
  • ❌ Don't assume a report is in the "obvious" category — some reports serve multiple purposes
  • ❌ Don't ignore starred reports — they're marked for a reason (frequently used/important)

FAQs

Why are some reports in multiple categories?

Some reports serve multiple business purposes. For example, the Weekly Report appears in "General" because it's a high-level overview, but it could also fit in "Finance." The categorization reflects the primary use case.

What does the star icon mean?

Stars (⭐) indicate the most frequently used or important reports in that category. New users should start with starred reports to learn the system.

Can I suggest moving a report to a different category?

Yes! If you find a report is consistently hard to locate in its current category, contact Kiva Logic with your feedback. The categorization is designed to improve over time based on user experience.

Why don't I see all the categories mentioned in this documentation?

Some categories only appear if your site has specific features enabled (like Seasons) or if you have the required admin access level. Contact your account manager to enable additional features.

How do I know which reports are new?

Compare the count badges in each category header. If the number increases, new reports were added. Check the "Recent Updates" section in individual report documentation for details about new features.
