AI Product Search - Find Products by Description¶

Overview¶

Our AI Product Search feature helps you discover products using natural language descriptions instead of exact product names. Just describe what you're looking for in your own words, and our AI assistant will recommend products that match your needs.

How It Works¶

Personalized Recommendations¶

The AI analyzes several factors to give you the best recommendations: - Your search description - Understanding what you're looking for - Your current order - Finding items that complement what you've already added - Your purchase history - Learning your preferences from past orders - Available products - Only showing items that are currently in stock

Smart Exclusions¶

The AI automatically excludes: - Products already in your current order - Items you purchased in your last 2 orders (to avoid suggesting things you likely still have)

How to Use¶

Performing a Search¶

Navigate to Shop > Ask AI for Product Ideas
Type a natural description of what you're looking for in the search box
Click "Ask AI"
Wait while the AI analyzes your request (you'll see progress messages)
Review the recommended products with AI-generated reasons for each suggestion

Example Searches¶

Here are some examples of how to describe what you want: - "something to go with bananas" - "snacky type things" - "protein for dinner" - "something sweet" - "ingredients for tacos" - "healthy breakfast options" - "items that go well with chicken"

Starting a New Search¶

After viewing results, click the "New Search" button to clear your previous search and start fresh.

Viewing Search History¶

Click the "History" button on the AI search page
Browse your past searches with timestamps and result counts
Click any previous search to instantly reload those results
Click "New Search" to return to the search page

Understanding Results¶

AI Reasoning¶

Each recommended product includes a brief explanation marked with a sparkle icon. These reasons explain why the AI selected that particular item, such as: - "Goes great with the bananas in your order" - "You've enjoyed this before" - "Perfect for garlic lovers like you" - "Great for adding protein to your meals"

Product Information¶

Each result shows: - Product image - Product name and price - Unit size (if applicable) - AI's reason for recommending it

Click on any product to view its full details page.

Requirements¶

You must be logged in to your account to use AI search
AI search only shows products that are currently available for your delivery

FAQ¶

Why do I need to log in to use AI search?¶

Login is required so the AI can personalize recommendations based on your order history and current cart contents. This helps provide more relevant suggestions tailored to your preferences.

How long does a search take?¶

Most searches complete within 5-10 seconds. You'll see progress messages while the AI analyzes your request.

Can I save my favorite searches?¶

All your searches are automatically saved in your search history. Click the "History" button to view and re-access previous searches instantly.

Why doesn't the AI show products I just ordered?¶

The AI automatically excludes items already in your current order and items from your last 2 orders to avoid suggesting things you likely already have or just received.

The AI typically recommends 5-10 products that best match your search. If fewer items are shown, it means the AI found only those items to be good matches for your description.

What if I don't get any results?¶

If no products match your search, try: - Using different words or a more general description - Searching for a category instead of specific items - Browsing our regular product categories

Can I search by exact product name?¶

While you can use exact product names, the AI search is designed for natural language descriptions. For exact product name searches, use the regular search feature instead.

Troubleshooting¶

Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in. If the problem persists, contact support.

The AI recommended irrelevant products¶

The AI is experimental and learning. Try being more specific in your description, or rephrase your search differently. You can also use the regular shop categories for more predictable results.

My search history isn't showing¶

Search history only includes searches performed while logged in. If you recently logged in, previous searches from before login won't appear.

The search is taking too long¶

If a search takes longer than 30 seconds, try refreshing the page and searching again. Contact support if the issue continues.

Important Notes¶

Experimental Feature: AI search is an experimental feature and may occasionally make mistakes or provide unexpected recommendations.
Availability: Only products currently available for your delivery will appear in results.
Not a Replacement: AI search is designed to help with discovery. You can always use traditional browsing and search methods.

Tips for Best Results¶

Be descriptive but concise in your searches
Mention how you plan to use the products (e.g., "for breakfast", "with pasta")
Include preferences like "healthy", "quick", "sweet", "savory"
Try variations if your first search doesn't yield what you want
Review the AI's reasoning to understand why items were suggested
