FAQs¶
How often does automatic sync run?¶
Automatic sync typically runs every 15-30 minutes. New subscribers should appear in Mailchimp within that timeframe. Manual sync can force immediate update.
What happens when a customer unsubscribes in Mailchimp?¶
The unsubscribe syncs back to your system on next sync cycle. The customer will show as unsubscribed in both systems.
Can I add customers to Mailchimp lists from this page?¶
No, this page shows existing subscriptions only. Add customers to lists through Customer Detail page or bulk import.
Why do some customers show multiple lists?¶
Customers can be subscribed to multiple Mailchimp lists simultaneously. This is normal for segmented marketing campaigns.
What's the difference between this page and Mailchimp Export?¶
Mailchimp Active shows current subscription status and sync monitoring. Mailchimp Export is for creating one-time exports of customer data to import into Mailchimp.
Can I force a customer onto a Mailchimp list if they keep failing to sync?¶
First fix the underlying sync error (usually invalid email or duplicate). Don't override Mailchimp's validation - it protects your sender reputation.
