FAQs

How many testimonials should I collect?

Aim for 50-100 in your library. Feature 10-15 actively. Rotate regularly. More is better (shows lots of happy customers) as long as quality maintained.

Should I edit customer testimonials?

Fix obvious typos and grammar errors. Don't change meaning or tone. If significant editing needed, contact customer for approval.

What if a customer leaves a negative testimonial?

Don't display publicly. Contact customer privately to resolve issue. If resolved, they may update to positive. Keep record for internal improvement.

Can I use testimonials in paid advertising?

Yes, with customer's explicit permission. Best practice: Get written consent for advertising use specifically.

Monthly minimum. Weekly if you have large library. Keeps content fresh for returning visitors.

Should I offer incentives for testimonials?

Optional but effective. Small credit ($5-10) or entry in monthly drawing. Don't make incentive so large it seems like you're buying reviews.

What if customer wants testimonial removed?

Honor immediately. They have the right to withdraw permission. Remove from all locations within 24 hours.

Video vs text testimonials - which is better?

Video is more engaging and credible but harder to collect. Use both. Video for homepage, text throughout site.

How do I verify testimonials are real?

Only accept from verified customers. Check account exists and has purchase history. Real testimonials reference specific details.

Can I pull reviews from Google/Facebook?

Yes, if customer posted publicly. Still best practice to confirm permission before featuring prominently.
