Theme Looks Wrong with Brand Colors

Symptoms:

  • Holiday decoration clashes with site colors
  • Doesn't match branding

Solutions:

  1. Try different theme option (subtle vs. bold)

  5. Disable if not working well on mobile

Best Practices

Seasonal Planning

  1. Plan ahead - Apply themes 2-3 weeks before holiday
  2. Test first - Preview before holiday rush
  3. Remove promptly - Take down shortly after holiday
  4. Coordinate with promotions - Match email campaigns
  5. Less is more - Don't enable all effects at once

Theme Selection

  1. Match brand - Choose themes complementing your colors
  2. Consider audience - Know your customers' preferences
  3. Test on devices - Check desktop and mobile
  4. Start subtle - Can always add more decoration
  5. Get feedback - Ask team which looks best

Performance

  1. Monitor load times - Ensure decorations don't slow site
  2. Limit effects - Don't combine all options
  3. Test checkout - Ensure decorations don't interfere with purchasing
  4. Mobile-first - Verify good mobile experience

Things to Avoid

  • ❌ Leaving holiday decorations up year-round
  • ❌ Mixing too many effects (overwhelming)

FAQs

Can I use my own holiday images?

Not through this page. These are pre-configured themes. For custom decorations, contact Kiva Logic support for assistance.

Do themes affect site performance?

Minimal impact. Themes use small optimized images. Snowflakes effect adds light JavaScript animation but shouldn't noticeably slow site.

Can I schedule themes to apply automatically?

No, themes must be manually applied and removed. Add to calendar reminder to apply/remove at appropriate dates.

Will themes appear in emails too?

No, only on website header. Emails use separate templates with their own holiday customization options.

Can customers disable holiday decorations?

No customer-facing option to disable. However, decorations are designed to be tasteful and non-intrusive. If concerns, choose more subtle themes.

Do all themes work on mobile?

Yes, all themes are mobile-responsive. However, appearance may differ on smaller screens due to space constraints.

Can I use multiple background themes at once?

No, select one background theme at a time. Can combine background theme with snowflakes and/or ribbon effects.

How do I know which theme looks best?

Use the preview workflow: keep website open, try different themes, refresh to see each. Compare and choose your favorite.
