FAQs¶
What's a good order growth rate?¶
5-10% month-over-month is healthy for mature businesses. 20%+ for early-stage growth. Negative growth needs investigation.
Why do my orders spike on certain days?¶
Common causes: delivery day clustering, marketing emails sent, paydays, beginning of month, promotional deadlines.
How far back should I analyze data?¶
Minimum 3 months for trends. 12 months for seasonal patterns. Multiple years for long-term strategy.
What's the difference between orders and customers?¶
One customer can have multiple orders. Track both metrics - order volume AND active customer count.
How do I account for seasonality in forecasting?¶
Compare to same month/period last year. Adjust for known growth trends. Account for external factors (economy, competition, marketing).
