- Each product may have multiple quantity rows
How to Read This Report¶
The unique format "1 [6 oz] -> 2 orders" means:
- 1: The quantity per order
- [6 oz]: The unit of measurement
- 2 orders: How many orders need that quantity
Example:
Blueberries, Organic
1 [6 oz] -> 5 orders
2 [6 oz] -> 3 orders
- 5 orders need 1 container of blueberries (6 oz size) = 5 containers total
- 3 orders need 2 containers of blueberries (6 oz size) = 6 containers total
- Total needed: 11 containers of 6 oz organic blueberries

- Verify route/day filters aren't excluding it
Issue: Quantities Seem Wrong¶
Check:
- Toggle "Combine Line Items" to see different view
- Verify week selection is correct
- Check if route/day filters are applied
- Remember: shows quantity per order, not total
Issue: "Pack Order -> Route Stop Numbers" Shows Error¶
Symptoms: Error about requiring route selection
Solution: This report type requires selecting a specific route. Choose route from dropdown before selecting this report type.
Best Practices¶
Packing Workflow¶
- Weekly Planning: Run report on Friday for next week
- Daily Updates: Re-run morning of each delivery day (for day-of changes)
- Print Fresh: Don't rely on old printouts; orders change
- Route-Specific: Use Pack Order report for route-based packing
Understanding Quantities¶
- Calculate Totals: Multiply quantity × order count for total needed
- Example: "3 [ea] -> 5 orders" = 15 total units
- Account for Waste: Add 5-10% buffer for damaged/extra items
- Combine Similar: Group similar products (different sizes of same item)
Filter Strategy¶
- Start with "All Products" to see everything
- Add filters progressively to narrow down
- Use classifications for category-specific reports
- Use routes for driver packing lists
- Use days for production scheduling
Things to Avoid¶
- ❌ Forgetting to update week when planning ahead
- ❌ Mixing up quantity per order vs total quantity needed
- ❌ Printing too early (orders may change)
- ❌ Using old reports (always regenerate for current data)

FAQs¶
What's the difference between "1 [ea] -> 5 orders" and "5 [ea] -> 1 order"?¶
First: 5 orders each need 1 item (5 total). Second: 1 order needs 5 items (5 total). Same total, different distribution.
Should I check "Combine Line Items"?¶
Check it if: You want to see total quantity per customer (better for fulfillment) Uncheck if: You want to see line-by-line detail (better for understanding order patterns)
How do I calculate total quantity needed?¶
For each row, multiply the quantity by the number of orders. Example: "2 [lb] -> 10 orders" = 20 lbs total.
What does "Pack Order" mean in the report type?¶
Pack Order organizes products by their packing sequence (packorder field), showing which route stops need each item.
Can I see multiple weeks at once?¶
No, select one week at a time. Run separate reports for multiple weeks.
